Making Talks Come True
My name is Leo Taylor and I brought the talk of a Warooka Concert featuring the O'Loughlins and Kennedy's into a reality. The Late Michael Kennedy, the grandfather of Alice, Hugo, and Tomas Kennedy, owned the Warooka Hotel in the late 1900's.

From the time I heard talks about the concert needed to become reality, I had found that 2018 January would be the best time as the Kennedy's had flown to Australia for holidays at Point Souttar and the O'Loughlins too flooded to the Yorke Peninsula enjoying a break from the hip city of Melbourne.

The night raised $1.040 in funds to support the S.T.E.M. subjects at Saint Columba's Memorial School. Organising this event at the pub was out of the ordinary for the publicans John and Anne of Warooka, who thought they were discussing plans with an adult instead it turns out I'm a 15 year old from Port Pirie, 2 1/2 hours away from Warooka. However, through many phone calls John and Anne had organised a night of success for all.

The wonderful music from Alice Haddy; Hugo, Alice, and Tomas Kennedy; as well as the open mic including Emily Taheny and the current publican of the Warooka Hotel.
The night also provided a catch up to interconnections of families and friends who haven't seen each other a long time or even just the day before hitting a hole-in-one at the Warooka Golf Course.

Albert and Mary-Agnes O'Loughlin
Albert and Mary-Agnes O'Loughlin, children of the Warooka born and bred, Stand-Up Comedian Fiona O'Loughlin. Two of the many Taheny Grandchildren of Warooka Locals - Deirdre and Denis Taheny. Albert living in Alice Springs for the majority of his school life before venturing to be a Boarder at Sacred Heart College has now formed a band 'The Oh Balters' with his mates whom he met and became good friends with Boarding School. Albert studies at the Elders Conservatorium of Music in Melbourne. Mary-Agnes O'Loughlin also lived in Alice Springs until the last few years of High School, moved to Melbourne with her mother. Mary is a very talented young girl, who can not only sing but dance! A Taheny duo can't be beaten!
Alice and Hugo Kennedy
Bonjour! Alice and Hugo Kennedy, grandchildren of the former Warooka Hotel publicans, Michael and Alice, who held a strong connection to the small country town of Warooka. Alice and Hugo live in the heart of Paris, France working for their parents in one of the best bars in the city! Hugo and Alice are both talented performers bringing a french accent rarely heard in Warooka!
Alice Haddy
Alice is a captivating singer-songwriter from the West Coast. She has played alongside the likes of Paul Dempsey and John Butler. She writes and performs songs about the sea, the Bermuda triangle and David Bowie. Alice can be seen crooning most weekends at select markets, cafes and music venues around Adelaide and now Warooka Pub. Her voice cannot be missed!
